This race was crazy and had me jumping around my room at one point.
Barros leads the field to the line, as Zetticci starts his march to the front.
Barros looked like he set sail and was coasting to a win. 15 Laps in, and he was pulling away.
Lap 31: McAffee's engine blows, ending his season early.
Lap 69: Barros had a 7 second lead before he had to go in and pit
Lap 106: With Barros in the lead, Zetticci was in 9th battling for all the points he could.
Barros got stuck behind Unger, and slowed him down enough for Flint to pass him for the lead.
Lap 130: Adkins gets loose and backs it into the wall. This was the caution that everyone needed, especially Zetticci. Kind of suspicious, don't you think? Adkins and McAffee's hunt for 3rd in points ended in disaster.
On the restart, Zetticci jumped ahead of Barros. The points lead was at around 13 with Barros having 10 bonus points.
Lap 154: Bowen was blowing up, so I took the screenshot. Turns out, he spun and hit the wall. He got a DNF for an accident, and a caution came out.
Barros ended up pitting at Lap 203, hoping this would help his cause.
Wick took over the lead and started to pull away. He had a 10 second lead at some point.
Lap 245: Zetticci was running in 7th battling Walkowiak for 6th.
The battle for 2nd was huge as Fischer, Severn, and Tabulov were jocking for position in traffic.
Lap 253: Flint has a gearbox problem ending his day, he was running well tho, leading some laps
Lap 264: 3 laps to go, and Zetticci gets slowed by Unger and allows the 12 to pass him for 6th. HUGE for points as the live scoring had him trailing by a point.
Wick scored his 3rd win on the season! A huge day for him provided the points for a 3rd place standings finish.
Fischer passed Tabulov for 2nd on the last turn, giving Taylor Motorsports a 1-2 finish!
Zetticci crosses the line in 7th, with 146 points this race.
Barros followed in 11th, with 130 points. BUT he lead a lot of laps, so the bonus was in effect.
So here are the results!
OKAY, so you might be wondering who won the points? Well when the race finishes, it takes you to a result page, giving you the finish order and points. Zetticci had 146 from this race, Barros finished with 140 with his 10 bonus points. Simple math has Barros winning with his 7 point lead going in as the deciding factor. Halfway through this race I called a 1 point margin, and i freaked out and was like NO WAY.
Brent of Team Harden Racing can prove it said 140 for Barros. We exit the race and BAM, Zetticci wins by 4 points. We both were confused, and I had written down the points so i can know the points leader in race. I went down the list and saw that Flint had the +10 in points. There is no lap counter on the game, so we couldn't compare the laps led. So we couldn't argue. I personally don't think Flint led the most laps, but the screenshot tells it all.
Look for the standings in the next post.
